L\u2019artiste a fig\u00e9 le moment dans une pi\u00e8ce int\u00e9rieure qui s\u2019ouvre sur le paysage typique de l\u2019urbanisme classique fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n

La Place Vend\u00f4me<\/strong><\/em> s\u2019inscrit dans la s\u00e9rie de nombreux tableaux sur la ville de Paris<\/strong> qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 la source principale d\u2019inspiration pour Akagi pendant toute sa vie.<\/p>\n

On y rencontre la technique d\u00e9j\u00e0 famili\u00e8re \u00e0 nos yeux de l\u2019huile sur toile avec le trait rouge englobant la fa\u00e7ade du b\u00e2timent et la colonne qui s\u2019ajoute au contraste coloriste du ciel bleu.<\/p>\n

Place Vend\u00f4me<\/strong><\/em> is a work that marks the end of Kojiro Akagi’s artistic career. It is composed from the view of the window overlooking the historic square of the city of Paris.<\/p>\n

The artist has caught the moment in an interior room that opens onto the view of classical French urbanism.<\/p>\n

Place Vend\u00f4me<\/em><\/strong> is part of the series of numerous paintings of the city of Paris that has been Akagi’s main source of inspiration during his life. Here we can see the oil on canvas technique with the red line encompassing the fa\u00e7ade of the building and the column adding to the contrast of the blue sky.<\/p>\n

Un japonais \u00e0 Paris<\/h2>\n

L\u2019\u0153uvre de Kojiro Akagi constitue un magnifique t\u00e9moignage de la beaut\u00e9 de Paris. D\u00e8s son arriv\u00e9e en France, en 1963, pour int\u00e9grer l\u2019Ecole des Beaux-Arts, l\u2019\u00e9tudiant japonais est fascin\u00e9 par cette ville qu\u2019il sillonne inlassablement. Il pose son chevalet au gr\u00e8s de ballades et peint ses monuments embl\u00e9matiques, ses fa\u00e7ades d\u2019immeubles, ses quartiers anciens\u2026
\nLes cr\u00e9ations d\u2019Akagi se distinguent par une observation rigoureuse de l\u2019architecture et de l\u2019espace, renforc\u00e9e par un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 original. Pour ses dessins, il utilise l\u2019encre de Chine pour d\u00e9finir les contours du dessin, puis le colorie \u00e0 l\u2019aquarelle afin de restituer les couleurs d\u2019origine. A partir de ses dessins naissent les peintures \u00e0 l\u2019huile en relief \u00e9pais, aux lignes rouges ou blanches. Il cr\u00e9e \u00e9galement des lithographies et s\u00e9rigraphies repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es dans le livre 100 vues de Paris.<\/p>\n

En repr\u00e9sentant avec une grande pr\u00e9cision la ville sous ses multiples facettes, Akagi est sans conteste le plus parisien des artistes japonais. Et en se penchant sur la m\u00e9moire de chacun de ses lieux, il est devenu un fin connaisseur de l\u2019histoire de \u00absa\u00bb ville, Paris.

Life contributed to Paris<\/h1>\n

Fund for perpetuating valuable works<\/h2>\n

Kojiro Akagi was passionate about painting Paris, working on painting until January 2021 just before his death. All his works have been donated to Fond de Dotation Kojiro Akagi (Kojiro Akagi Foundation), whose mission is to preserve and disseminate his work.
\nThe fund is used for the permanent exhibition space at La Galerie de Paris in Village Suisse.
\nAkagi wanted to support artists from all nations who contribute their works for Paris through grants, events, etc.
\nWe are looking for people who can contribute to the preservation of memoires of Paris and to the spread Japanese and French art and culture through bequests and donations to Fond de Dotation Kojiro Akagi (Kojiro Akagi Foundation).
\nThis fund will help create the Akagi Museum of Art which will present the artist’s career and works.<\/p>\n

A Japanese in Paris<\/h2>\n

The work of painter Kojiro Akagi is a great testament to the beauty of Paris. Shortly after arriving in France to attend Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1963 as a Japanese student, he was fascinated by the city and traveled tirelessly. He would set up an easel during his walks whenever something caught his attention, and drew iconic monuments, building fa\u00e7ades, old towns, etc.
\nAkagi’s work is characterised by rigorous observations of architecture and space emphasised by his unique process. His work uses black Chinese calligraphy ink to define the contours, then colours them with watercolour to restore the original colours.
\nThis painting style gave a birth to his oil painting with thick outlines in red and white lines. By using the same method, he also produced the lithographs and serigraphs found in his book of paintings, AKAGI : 100 vues de Paris.<\/p>\n

Keeping the memory of each place alive<\/h2>\n

Akagi, who has expressed the city of Paris very accurately from various angles, is arguably considered as the most Parisian among Japanese artists.
\nBy examining the memory of each of place, the painter has become an expert in the history of \u00ab\u00a0his\u00a0\u00bb city, Paris.
\nHis works are exhibited in France (Carnavalet Museum in Paris where 130 works are preserved and Toulon Municipal Museum), Japan, and all over the world.
\nHis works are also found in many public collections and museums throughout France, Japan, Ivory Coast, Vatican Museum, etc.<\/p>\n

All his works have been donated to Fond de Dotation Kojiro Akagi (Kojiro Akagi Foundation), whose mission is to preserve and disseminate his work. The fund is used for the permanent exhibition space at La Galerie de Paris in Village Suisse. Akagi wanted to support artists from all nations who contribute their works for Paris through grants, events, etc. We are looking for people who can contribute to the preservation of memoires of Paris and to the spread Japanese and French art and culture through bequests and donations to Fond de Dotation Kojiro Akagi (Kojiro Akagi Foundation). This fund will help create the Akagi Museum of Art which will present the artist’s career and works. A Japanese in Paris The work of painter Kojiro Akagi is a great testament to the beauty of Paris. Shortly after arriving in France to attend Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1963 as a Japanese student, he was fascinated by the city and traveled tirelessly. He would set up an easel during his walks whenever something caught his attention, and drew iconic monuments, building fa\u00e7ades, old towns, etc. Akagi’s work is characterised by rigorous observations of architecture and space emphasised by his unique process. His work uses black Chinese calligraphy ink to define the contours, then colours them with watercolour to restore the original colours. This painting style gave a birth to his oil painting with thick outlines in red and white lines. By using the same method, he also produced the lithographs and serigraphs found in his book of paintings, AKAGI : 100 vues de Paris. Keeping the memory of each place alive Akagi, who has expressed the city of Paris very accurately from various angles, is arguably considered as the most Parisian among Japanese artists. By examining the memory of each of place, the painter has become an expert in the history of \u00ab\u00a0his\u00a0\u00bb city, Paris. His works are exhibited in France (Carnavalet Museum in Paris where 130 works are preserved and Toulon Municipal Museum), Japan, and all over the world. The fund is used for the permanent exhibition space at La Galerie de Paris in Village Suisse. This fund will help create the Akagi Museum of Art which will present the artist’s career and works. A Japanese in Paris The work of painter Kojiro Akagi is a great testament to the beauty of Paris. Shortly after arriving in France to attend Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1963 as a Japanese student, he was fascinated by the city and traveled tirelessly. He would set up an easel during his walks whenever something caught his attention, and drew iconic monuments, building fa\u00e7ades, old towns, etc. Akagi’s work is characterised by rigorous observations of architecture and space emphasised by his unique process. His work uses black Chinese calligraphy ink to define the contours, then colours them with watercolour to restore the original colours. This painting style gave a birth to his oil painting with thick outlines in red and white lines. By using the same method, he also produced the lithographs and serigraphs found in his book of paintings, AKAGI : 100 vues de Paris. Keeping the memory of each place alive Akagi, who has expressed the city of Paris very accurately from various angles, is arguably considered as the most Parisian among Japanese artists. By examining the memory of each of place, the painter has become an expert in the history of \u00ab\u00a0his\u00a0\u00bb city, Paris. Life contributed to Paris Fund for perpetuating valuable works Kojiro Akagi was passionate about painting Paris, working on painting until January 2021 just before his death. All his works have been donated to Fond de Dotation Kojiro Akagi (Kojiro Akagi Foundation), whose mission is to preserve and disseminate his work. The fund is used for the permanent exhibition space at La Galerie de Paris in Village Suisse. Akagi wanted to support artists from all nations who contribute their works for Paris through grants, events, etc. We are looking for people who can contribute to the preservation of memoires of Paris and to the spread Japanese and French art and culture through bequests and donations to Fond de Dotation Kojiro Akagi (Kojiro Akagi Foundation). This fund will help create the Akagi Museum of Art which will present the artist’s career and works. A Japanese in Paris The work of painter Kojiro Akagi is a great testament to the beauty of Paris. Shortly after arriving in France to attend Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1963 as a Japanese student, he was fascinated by the city and traveled tirelessly. He would set up an easel during his walks whenever something caught his attention, and drew iconic monuments, building fa\u00e7ades, old towns, etc. Akagi’s work is characterised by rigorous observations of architecture and space emphasised by his unique process. His work uses black Chinese calligraphy ink to define the contours, then colours them with watercolour to restore the original colours. This painting style gave a birth to his oil painting with thick outlines in red and white lines. By using the same method, he also produced the lithographs and serigraphs found in his book of paintings, AKAGI : 100 vues de Paris. Keeping the memory of each place alive Akagi, who has expressed the city of Paris very accurately from various angles, is arguably considered as the most Parisian among Japanese artists. By examining the memory of each of place, the painter has become an expert in the history of \u00ab\u00a0his\u00a0\u00bb city, Paris. His works are exhibited in France (Carnavalet Museum in Paris where 130 works are preserved and Toulon Municipal Museum), Japan, and all over the world.
